Can I ship wine, spirits or beer to consumers in Texas?
Wine: out-of-state producers can ship direct to consumers. Wineries need an Out-of-State Winery Direct Shipper's Permit, which costs $470 and lasts two years. Each customer can receive up to 9 gallons a month and 36 gallons a year, and a single permit holder can ship no more than 35,000 gallons a year to all Texas customers combined. What makes Texas different?
Texas is open to wine shippers and closed to spirits and beer shipped from out of state. Inside the state, delivery runs through licensed Texas retailers and the delivery companies TABC permits to carry their orders.
